Pickleball is still new to Spain, but Mallorca, also spelled Majorca in English, is quickly becoming one of the best places in the country to play. If you are looking for somewhere to play pickleball Mallorca has a small but fast growing number of options, and more are opening this year. For comparison, Mallorca's own tourism directory lists more than fifty padel providers on the island. Pickleball is still finding its footing by comparison, which is exactly why new dedicated courts matter.
Many of the courts currently available are converted tennis or padel courts, lined for pickleball and shared with other sports. Marratxí, a town just outside Palma, is getting new courts built specifically for the sport, opening autumn 2026.
Marratxí sits close to Palma and is easy to reach from most parts of the island, which makes it a practical base whether you live in Mallorca or are visiting on holiday. Once the new courts open, players will be able to book coached sessions, join open play or take part in a structured camp.
If you are new to the sport, the easiest way to get started is to join a camp rather than trying to find a game on your own. PickleVia runs Open Marratxí, a pickleball camp built around these new courts, with sessions for complete beginners as well as more experienced players.
If you are trying to book a session anywhere on this list, the most reliable approach is to contact the venue directly, since pickleball is still new enough in Mallorca that opening hours and available courts can change as demand grows. Where a venue shares courts with tennis or padel, as is common right now, pickleball sessions may only run at certain times, so it is worth checking before you turn up expecting an open court.
If you do not own a paddle yet, do not let that stop you. Several venues, including Open Marratxí, offer paddle loan so you can try a session before deciding whether to buy your own equipment. This is a sensible way to start, especially if you are only visiting the island for a short trip and do not want to travel with a paddle you may not end up using again.
Mallorca's mix of reliable weather for most of the year, direct flights from across Europe and a growing pickleball scene also make it a practical base whether you are visiting solo, as a couple, or as part of a larger group of friends looking to combine a holiday with some pickleball.

Marratxí
Marratxí is home to Open Marratxí, PickleVia's own pickleball camp on courts built specifically for the sport, opening autumn 2026. It is the venue we can currently confirm as verified for dedicated pickleball play.
Santa Ponsa
Mallorca Country Club in Santa Ponsa has pickleball courts as part of its multi-sport facility. Access is for members only, so it is not currently bookable through PickleVia, but it confirms pickleball already has a foothold on the island beyond Marratxí.
Alcúdia
We do not yet have a verified pickleball venue to list in Alcúdia. If that changes, we will update this guide.
Manacor
The Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor is the most established pickleball venue in Mallorca. It hosted the Mediterranean Open, the first pickleball tournament of its kind on the island, and has built dedicated courts as part of its wider racket sports program. Access is generally through academy membership or events rather than casual drop-in.

Can tourists play pickleball in Mallorca?
Yes. Most venues, including Open Marratxí, welcome visitors as well as residents. Since pickleball is still establishing itself on the island, it is worth contacting a venue ahead of your trip to confirm availability, rather than assuming you can turn up and find a court free.
Do you need to book pickleball courts in advance in Mallorca?
It depends on the venue, but booking ahead is generally the safer option. Courts that are shared with tennis or padel may have limited pickleball specific hours, and as more people discover the sport on the island, demand for the courts that do exist is likely to keep growing.
Is pickleball available across all of Mallorca or just Marratxí?
Marratxí is currently the venue we can verify as purpose built for pickleball, and Santa Ponsa and Manacor also have courts, as covered above. We do not yet have a verified venue to list in every part of the island, including Palma and Alcúdia, but we expect that to change as the sport grows, and we will update this guide as it does.
